What is Paracetamol, Phenylephrine, Chlorpheniramine & Caffien Tablet?

Paracetamol, Phenylephrine, Chlorpheniramine & Caffien Tablet is made up of four different medicines: Chlorpheniramine (antihistamine), Phenylephrine (decongestant), Paracetamol (mild analgesic and antipyretic), and Caffeine (caffeine) (a stimulant). Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine (anti-allergic medication) that acts by preventing the activity of histamine, a chemical that causes allergic reactions. Phenylephrine helps to reduce a stuffy nose by decreasing blood vessels in the nasal stream. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer) that acts by suppressing the formation of 'prostaglandins,' which are chemical components in the brain that cause pain and fever. Caffeine is a stimulant that reduces the tiredness produced by Chlorpheniramine and accelerates the action of all of the drugs in the tablet. Paracetamol, Phenylephrine, Chlorpheniramine & Caffien Tablet is a cough and cold drug that is generally used in the treatment of typical cold and allergy symptoms such as sneezing, watery eyes, and itchy/watery nose and throat.

How does Common Cold Spreads?

The common cold is a respiratory infection that affects the nose and throat and is caused primarily by viruses called 'rhinoviruses.' When a sick person sneezes, coughs, or talks, the virus enters the body through to the mouth, nose, or eyes and spreads swiftly by droplets in the air.
